Nostradamus Predictions

Nostradamus predictions themselves are one thing, but can any of them actually be credited? Is there proof of any of his predictions taking place? Nostradamus’ fancy for anagrams and his fondness for sprinkling his verses with Hebrew, Latin, and Portuguese words further complicates interpretation of his predictions.

Some interpreters say the verses can be applied to anything, or nothing, whereas others claim that various verses foretold the Great Fire of London in 1666, the invention of the guillotine, the deaths of several monarchs, details of the French Revolution, the rise of Napoleon and Hitler, World War II, submarine warfare, military incursions by helicopters and supersonic bombers, twentieth century earthquakes, nuclear holocausts, Nostradamus prophecies don’t contain these quatrains. It is not the first time when Nostradamus’ prophecies were misused in order to manipulate public opinion.

Nostradamus quatrains:

Quatrains are stanzas, or poems, and Nostradamus wrote many of his predictions in quatrains. He wrote approximately 1000 quatrains. Quatrains by Nostradamus are not to be literally interpreted. One has to search for the hidden inner values in each and every quatrain.

Nostradamus prediction on his death:

He predicted his own death in his last almanac and passed away on July 1st, 1566, at 63 years of age.
